First Christian Church Back-to-School Fair, 8 a.m. to 12 noon, at 1421 Beard Street.

Back to School Fair at FCC

First Christian Church will be holding its Third Annual Back-to- School Fair from 8 a.m. until 12 Noon on Saturday, August 9th. The church is located at 1421 Beard Street in Beardstown and the event will be held in the school gymnasium and cafeteria.

The Back-to-School Fair is for ALL children in the Beardstown area and offers FREE school supplies (lists from schools will be available), clothing for the entire family (infant to adult), children’s basic haircuts, back to school physicals and dental check- ups–all at NO cost.

No appointment is necessary for the haircuts or the dental check- ups, however, an appointment must be made prior to the Fair for the school physicals. Appointments may be made by calling 323-1677 or stopping by the church office.

In addition to all the above offerings, there will be FREE hot dogs, snow cones, cookies and popcorn. It is our hope that all area families will join us for this special day of fun.

Crimestopper Country Night at Great River Road Opry

The Great River Road Opry in Winchester will be hosting a show to benefit Crimestoppers of Morgan/Scott county. The show will be held Friday July 25 at 7:30 with local talent Robert Sampson as the guest star. Tickets will be available at the door with part of each ticket sold being donated to Crimestoppers to assist their efforts.
